About Me

I am a homeschooler who enjoys art, reading, writing, baking, blogging, talking (I love to talk), cats, volleyball, Pusheen, playing guitar, listening to music, and much more. I REALLY love playing guitar.

I have 12 hens named Chickyn, Ethel, Nugget, Scramble, Flash, Cashew, Martha, Sugar, Runner, Cuckoo, Drumstick, and Henrietta. They’re all the same breed, and I’m the only one who can tell them all apart. They’re like a big family to me.

My favorite color is teal/turquoise, and I also like blue, purple and yellow. And green, and orange, and silver, and red. I am the youngest of three, having a brother and a sister in high school.

My favorite band is Imagine Dragons. Well, you would know that if you read any of my blog posts… *update: ID is still my favorite band but I REALLY like Twenty One Pilots, AC/DC, and Weezer.*

I like meeting new bloggers and checking out their blogs!

    1. They all have their own personalities and differences. Like, Nugget is picked on by the other chickens and Cuckoo loves to eat my hair. Ethel stays in the nesting boxes all day, and Chickyn likes to peck my eyes. I love them like family ❤

      1. Wow! I didn’t used to know that birds, including chickens, had their own personalities. I was totally clueless.
Poor Nugget. I feel sorry for him!
I’m guessing that even if all the chickens looked pretty much alike, these personality differences would give them away! 😀

      2. Almost all animals have personalities.
It’s funny, I’m the only one that can tell ALL of the chickens apart. You have to spend time with them to get to know the personalities and looks.
Nugget is the smallest, I wonder if that has anything to do with it… she’s the 2nd sweetest chicken we have out of the 12.
Cuckoo is my favorite though. Whenever she sees me, I sit down and she runs to me and sits on my lap. She sleeps on my lap a lot 🙂

      3. Is Ethel maybe broody, I have hens too, and when they stay in the coop for awhile it usually means they are broody! Actually it’s is super nice to find someone with chickens because I JUST started my own chicken blog, called Chickens and Gardens. You should check it out. It is a bit messy, but hey I’m working on it!
        search: chickensgardens.home.blog
It is private but I will grant permission for you (:

      4. Ethel isn’t broody, she’s just small and lays big eggs.

You know, I used to have a chicken blog called The Hen Blog, but I deleted it because it wasn’t working out well.

  1. Wow Christina! You have such a great blog, especially for a 12 yr old! I subscribed!
You have a lot of chickens, wow! How can you tell them apart? I love music too (you already know about TOP) I also really like Imagine Dragons, OneRepublic, Switchfoot, Billie Eilish and some MCR! I’m also learning guitar which I’m really enjoying!
I’m looking forward to reading more posts, which I’m sure I’ll enjoy!
    Have a great day!
